Tudung / Hijab

My pretty girl wants to wear hijab to school and kenduri now. This started from the last Ramadhan. Last year, you wore tudung for the whole month of Ramadhan but did not continue to wear it to school after Ramadhan ended. 

Solat 5 waktu

Today 22-7-15 is the first time you prayed 5 times a day! Alhamdulillah! We've got a long way to go but it's a good start. Mama berdoa agar Arwen rajin solat dan sentiasa jaga solat dan solat di awal waktu.

Ramadhan 2015 (18 June - 16 July 2015)

This year you managed to fast for a whole month for the 2nd time. You were more tired than last year though but still managed to pull through. You also prayed more than you did last year. Still not the full 5 times a day but it's a start. Alhamdulillah.

Last year we did a whole lot of crafts to distract you and with that you hardly even nap during the day but this year, you napped more and mostly watched TV because Mama was tired too. Sorry Wen.

You achieved a couple of firsts this Ramadhan. You did a presentation on the subject of Mars in front of your whole class for English. You volunteered to present and you got a tiny wooden cat statue from your teacher Puan Lung because you were the best on that day! Yeay!! Another was you participated in the English Week Group singing competition and your group from 4 Jed won 2nd place! Yeay again!

I am so proud of you because you volunteered and participated. I hope you will continue this effort in your new school.

A bunch of Firsts

22 May 2015 - This past couple of weeks have seen you trying new things. You actually tried and liked sardine sandwiches and laksa penang!! You tried Priya's sardine sandwiches and the laksa penang - you actually bought from the school canteen. Wow! Mama is just blown away especially because you put aside the vegetables aside all by yourself.

30 June 2015 - You volunteered to do a presentation on Mars in front of your whole class. Mrs Lung, your English teacher chose you as the best presenter of the day! You got a wooden cat statue as a prize! It was also Mrs. Lung last day before she retired.

13 July 2015 - You volunteered and participated in the English Week Group singing competition! Wow! Your group sang Maroon 5's Maps. You guys were amazing because you had so little time to practice! Like 2 days and 1 of those days you ponteng! Your class teacher - Cikgu Shidah is the best - she took photos and a video and whatsapp to all parents. So cool! She even put make up on the girls and gave the group props - drum sticks and hats.

The sound on the video is not that clear but I am not complaining. At least I get to see you in action!

Mama's 40th birthday

Well, I hit the big 4-oh. You were only able to make the note in school because you were so busy!!

We went to Aunty Linda's house after school and after Arwen finished mengaji.

Aunty Linda's birthday was on 14 June.

Bak bought me this cake after he finished work.

I still feel like I am in my twenties hahaa. Mama berdoa agar kita semua sentiasa sihat, panjang umur, murah rezeki dan diberkati Allah SWT. Mama berdoa kepada Allah supaya kita semua berada di bawah perlindungan dan rahmatNya sentiasa.

School Fence

29 April 2015. Good news. Akhirnya setelah 3 tahun 4 bulan bersekolah baru hari ni Arwen cakap "mama hantar arwen kat luar pagar sekolah ajelah". Hehehe. Anak org lain darjah satu dah hantar luar pagar  😜Agaknya berkat semalam dapat hadiah memanah rm70 kikiki 😆 alhamdulillah.

23 April 2015 - Practice day. First time and only time. You can't even pull the string!

25 April 2015 - On the actual day - Thank Goodness, they used a more modern and lighter bow.

For video - I tried to upload it but it got stuck - so just look for my folder Apr 2015 ok Wen.

There were only 2 girls who participated - you and Natha. Natha got 3rd placing. I wonder who won?? hahahaa takpelah, at least you won a prize!! Alhamdulillah!

You wanted to participate in the memanah competition being held at Masjid At-Taqwa TTDI's Karnival Islam. Your class teacher, Cikgu Shidah is one of the Masjid's committee, so the kids from the school who participated are all her students. Everything was so last minute. You guys only practiced one time. You have never even held a bow and arrow. I was skeptical about the whole thing but I persevered because for the first time you wanted to join in and participate in a school function! You did wonderfully! It was such a good effort!
