Wow, we just got back from a short weekend getaway. I'm feeling the post-partum holiday blues. I hope you don't feel it. It was a good trip. Not too far but far enough for it to be a 'getaway'. You had the most fun swimming. I wish I could let you swim all the time we were there as I know how bored you can get with 2 tired parents who seems like always wanting to sleep and having no other siblings - you don't really have anybody else to play with. Thank goodness there are the Ipad and the tablet. Even though they don't keep you entertained for long and if they do I'd feel guilty about it. I really pray that will get a sister or a brother soon. Of course you really want a sister only.

It was a special weekend because today was my 37th birthday and it was Father's day as well!! Bak really spoiled us and especially me this weekend. Tidur hotel. Makan sedap. No housework for me! Hmmmm bestnya hahaha...Thank you Bak! He was actually not feeling too well but still he drove us around and had a swim with you on Saturday evening.

Oh! and today just as time was almost up since we need to check out you - for the first time ever - went underwater!! the whole head and all! By choice! You never ever want to put your head underwater before. That was so amazing! I'd never thought I'd see it. It was unbelievable! Wonderful!

1st Big test

Mama doesn't really love exam but I sure hope you do !

School just reopened on Monday 11 June 2012 and you've been getting your exam results. You had your first big test prior to the 2 weeks holidays. Mama yang stressed. Risau Arwen tak jawab soalan atau tulis slow sangat but you came home every day after the exam saying it was easy. You had the Pendidikan Seni test on a Friday 18 May 2012. Then the following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. You didn't really have tests at Brainy Bunch and the Linus test (Government's test to see kids' proficiency level for Bahasa and Maths) that you had to take before the start of Primary 1 went downhill because you were crying most of the time. You had a 2nd Linus test in March but parents weren't informed of those results.

Anyway, you did fine. You got the following:- (updated as at 30.6.2012 - after report card day on 29.6.2012)
1) 88% for Bahasa Penulisan A+
2) 80 % for Bahasa Pemahaman A
3) 81% for Bahasa Arab (wow!) A
4) 78.5% for maths mainly because you didn't do the working for the addition and subtraction in the "cara lazim" B
5) 79% (52/70 for Pendidikan Jasmani) The paper was really quite tough. B
6) 94% for English because you missed some questions and did not put the right punctuation. A+
7) 75% for Sains. Paper was quite tough for a 1st test. B
8) 64% Agama Islam B
9) 55% Pendidikan Seni C

Apparently, they only take the 2 BM paper, English, Math & Science as the average. So you got 83.1% and your position in class was no 16. Not bad for a kid who cried every day for the 1st 3 months of this term. We can do better next time, insyaAllah.

13 May 2012 - Mother's Day.

You saw on Disney Channel about a kid making her mom breakfast in bed for Mother's Day and that the mother woke up late on that day. You said to me that I have to wake up late on Mother's Day. So when you woke me up early on Sunday - I jokingly said "Eh, I thought I was supposed to wake up late?" You went "Alamak, Arwen lupa!" and you straight away forced me to sleep again, not allowing me to get up or even open my eyes and then you went to wake Bak up so that you can do something for me. Bak said "Tak payahla Wen" and I also said there's no need but then you started to cry!!! Errkkk......So in the end Bak took you to TTDI pasar to get me flowers and bought breakfast too. Thank you so much  love. I'm sorry that you vomited at the Pasar due to the early morning ride. Love you.
