3.11.2017 Last Day of Primary School

In a plot twist that we did not see coming, your last day of primary school came early because we are going to San Francisco on Sunday 5.11.2017.

The last day of school for the rest of the school kids is 24 Nov 2017. Your results UPSR is supposed to come out on 23 Nov 2017 and your teacher said they will have a graduation day for year 6. I am sorry that you will miss that but in life, sometimes opportunity knocks and we get to answer it.

It may not be the most ideal situation but seriously, this is a once in a lifetime chance that you and I may get to go the States and for an entire month at that!

I was a bittersweet day today. I cannot believe your primary school days are over.

Yesterday I went to pick you up at 4 pm after kelas tambahan. Class ended at 345pm but you always asked me to pick you up at 4pm so that you can have some time to hang out with your friends. Well, yesterday you wer at the kedai mamak with Eria drinking milo suam!! Wah...terkejut mama...hahahaaa. Well, please let me know next time you want to hang out at the mamak shop ok?

Arwen khatam Quran 9 April 2016

Alhamdulillah, you managed to finish the whole Quran just before we moved to Cyberjaya. Syukur syukur. So much 'blood, sweat and tears' went into this process from you starting Iqra when you were in standard 2 and khatam Quran at the beginning of standard 5. About 3.25 years. Cikgu Ros had a small ceremony for you on 9 April 2016. We had moved already by then. I am so proud of you. I duaa you will continue to learn and read the Quran your entire life. It is the most important book in our lives actually.

SKTTDI - 5 Jed Classroom

It is still the CNY school holidays but we went to school office to handle some matters re your school transfer and we visited your classroom. It is sad that we are leaving the school but here's praying for better things to come.

Kembara Sejarah - Melaka School Trip 18 Sept 2015

What a day it was! You went on a school trip to Melaka and of course since I was a worried mommy; I managed to accompany you on the trip. Well, on the pre-text that I was there to assist your teachers of course. There were other mommies on the trip as well.

You had fun. I got to worry over 113 kids and was exhausted by the end of the trip but it was all worthwhile and I was glad I went along and that you got the experience since next year you will be in the Cyberjaya school.

There were 113 kids, 5 teachers and 5 mommies. We left home at 6.40am for school and the buses left the school at about 9.30am and returned to scholl grounds at 12.45am!!

A bunch of Firsts

22 May 2015 - This past couple of weeks have seen you trying new things. You actually tried and liked sardine sandwiches and laksa penang!! You tried Priya's sardine sandwiches and the laksa penang - you actually bought from the school canteen. Wow! Mama is just blown away especially because you put aside the vegetables aside all by yourself.

30 June 2015 - You volunteered to do a presentation on Mars in front of your whole class. Mrs Lung, your English teacher chose you as the best presenter of the day! You got a wooden cat statue as a prize! It was also Mrs. Lung last day before she retired.

13 July 2015 - You volunteered and participated in the English Week Group singing competition! Wow! Your group sang Maroon 5's Maps. You guys were amazing because you had so little time to practice! Like 2 days and 1 of those days you ponteng! Your class teacher - Cikgu Shidah is the best - she took photos and a video and whatsapp to all parents. So cool! She even put make up on the girls and gave the group props - drum sticks and hats.

The sound on the video is not that clear but I am not complaining. At least I get to see you in action!

School Fence

29 April 2015. Good news. Akhirnya setelah 3 tahun 4 bulan bersekolah baru hari ni Arwen cakap "mama hantar arwen kat luar pagar sekolah ajelah". Hehehe. Anak org lain darjah satu dah hantar luar pagar  😜Agaknya berkat semalam dapat hadiah memanah rm70 kikiki 😆 alhamdulillah.

23 April 2015 - Practice day. First time and only time. You can't even pull the string!

25 April 2015 - On the actual day - Thank Goodness, they used a more modern and lighter bow.

For video - I tried to upload it but it got stuck - so just look for my folder Apr 2015 ok Wen.

There were only 2 girls who participated - you and Natha. Natha got 3rd placing. I wonder who won?? hahahaa takpelah, at least you won a prize!! Alhamdulillah!

You wanted to participate in the memanah competition being held at Masjid At-Taqwa TTDI's Karnival Islam. Your class teacher, Cikgu Shidah is one of the Masjid's committee, so the kids from the school who participated are all her students. Everything was so last minute. You guys only practiced one time. You have never even held a bow and arrow. I was skeptical about the whole thing but I persevered because for the first time you wanted to join in and participate in a school function! You did wonderfully! It was such a good effort!

Exams!!

Oh Allah, please help Arwen throughout her schooling years and all her exams. Let her do well, let her understand what she learns in class from her teachers. Keep her safe, fit, healthy, happy. Bless her. Bless her life.

No school shoes!

24 feb 2015 - Oh my! Of all the things to forget to bring to school, you forgot to wear your school shoes! We made it all the way to the top of the stairs going into your school when you realised that you were wearing your pink slippers! With socks!

Apparently, you went to check on Cleo wearing your slippers and you never put on your school shoes.

Mama nak marah pun tak sampai hati. Geli hati pun ya juga. Anyway, i hope you've learnt a valuable lesson today.

Well, bak and i made up a funny pantun joke about this.

12/1/15 Back to school for tahun 4. You are already in tahap 2. My, how time flies even when it didn't feel like it. 

I pray everyday that you are safe, protected and blessed. I pray that you'll always have great teachers, great friends and a wonderful school experience. I pray that you are able to study well,  learn better, do better in exams so that you'll have the brighest future ever doing what you love and make a good living.

You had your sports day yesterday 14 Nov 2014 and your team won third place for the Acara Campuran Tahun 3. Alhamdulilah, yeay! Finally, you got a medal!After 2 years of going back empty handed, bak and I were so happy that you finally got a medal from school.
